Muddy, forest, singletrack, manoeuvring, braking, climbing, descending, interval, fun, jumps, chaotic, amazing. These are some words you might hear during the mountain biking tour we are organising in the Twente region.
Twente boasts one of the largest mountain biking networks in the Netherlands, with over 700 kilometres of mountain bike trails. The hills of the Holterberg, Tankenberg, Paasberg and Kuiperberg also make it a real challenge, especially if you also cross the border towards Bad Bentheim or Eulsen. But don't forget to have fun! Although sometimes difficult, the mountain bike tours from RV Sport Reizen will lead you past the natural beauty that Twente has to offer! You'll reach places you could never get to by car.
With a total of 700 kilometres, there is always a route that matches your level. Whether it's a 15-kilometre tour around the church or a serious 80-kilometre tour to prepare for the new sports season; Twente has it all.
The Netherlands is renowned for its cycling, and naturally, it's the number one cycling nation! And these days, it's also prevalent in everyday traffic. Our cyclists have also developed internationally into top athletes in recent years. The most famous is, of course, Tom Dumoulin. His victory in the Giro in 2017 and his excellent performances in the Tour de France keep many Dutch people glued to their televisions during these important races. Naturally, we mustn't forget our ladies on the road! During the European Championships in autumn 2018, the podium was entirely Dutch; 1st Annemarie Worst, 2nd Marianne Vos, and 3rd Denise Betsema. Among the men, our very own Mathieu van der Poel was the strongest.

The Mountain Bike Tour costs €8.50 per person. The tour is for die Weekends between 11:00 and 19:00 Watch Bookable, takes place however always in Vote with our others Activities. Depending on the level and distance of the route, we usually work in groups of +/- 12 people. This way we can determine the level and safety. You can book the mountain bike tour for €8.50 per person. You will have a riding time of +/- 2 hours with a distance between 25 and 40 kilometres.
We also have the option of offering you a clinic, with or without a (former) professional cyclist. The course will consist of a beautiful cycling tour, and additionally, you will learn the intricacies of the mountain bike profession, agility, steering, correct posture, overcoming obstacles, jumping, dismounting, and of course, safety!
